This set of three copper candlesticks was made prior to the year 2002 by the Mica Lamp Company of California. Each candlestick has a center cylinder that supports a candle, below which is a bobeche for catching candle wax. The candlestick is supported with four half-inch wide copper bands that bend into support legs at their ends. Each leg features stamped designs, and each leg is secured with round copper pins. Each of the four legs is stamped on the underside MICA LAMP CO. solid copper.
The copper candlesticks are elegant and they group beautifully together. The openness of the long and elegant shafts results in a lightness of the weight of the copper and prevents the copper from appearing massive in scale.
Condition: very good condition
Provenance: this Set of Three Coppersmith Candlesticks of the Arts and Crafts Style is from a Santa Fe resident who purchased the set from Mica Lamp Company in 2002.
