Robert Eustace Zuni Silver, Turquoise, and Red Coral Watch and Band [R]

Robert Eustace is a Zuni Pueblo artist known for his carved, raised, set stone, cluster, and stamp work jewelry.  He hand-cast, stamped, and carved this lovely watch band.  Included is a Bulova automatic watch. 

The watch itself is held in place on the face of the band with a very decorative set of silver appliqués in the shape of splashing water, or maybe two leaves, one on either side.  Two oval pieces of turquoise are affixed in bezels on this appliqué and have been carved into the shape of leaves.  Further down on either side of the watch the band is decorated with sets of three more leaves, this time alternating with sky-blue turquoise and bright red coral.  

Wrapped around the wrist on either side, the band is framed with thick silver shaped to appear as if it is twisted.  Both sides are broadest on the sides of the wrist and taper inward as they move around and down.   One bright piece of red coral in its leaf shape rests in a serrated bezel, surrounded by eight leaf-like pieces of turquoise.  In between the stones round stamped discs of silver pepper the surface with texture and at the base two silver appliqué leaves rise off the band to cradle the decorative gemstones above it.  The background has been stamped with many half circles, giving it a very appealing and interesting overall texture and feel.
