Heavy Silver Content Bracelet with Single Green Turquoise Stone by Jerry Faires [SOLD]

A large green oval turquoise stone with a unique gold matrix is the focal point in this bracelet made by Santa Fe jeweler, musician and poet Jerry Faires. A silver cast base plate has three chiseled bands, two on the exterior sides of the bracelet and one down the center. Four silver drops with stamped sunburst designs frame the center cabochon, which is set in a handmade bezel surrounded by twisted wire.

Unlike the thinner gauge silver bracelets made for the tourist market, this bracelet has a pleasingly heavy gauge which makes for a very comfortable fit.  It is made of hand-hammered ingot silver. The substantial silver has developed a beautiful patina from long-time wear.

Provenance: From a Colorado Southwest Indian Jewelry collector.  Even though this bracelet does not have a Jeweler's hallmark, the artist personally identified it as his work at Adobe Gallery.
