This three-gemstone ingot silver and turquoise bracelet was crafted in the early twentieth-century at a time when discerning clientele began to demand high quality craftsmanship and the finest turquoise in the Native American jewelry they purchased. Traders supplied artists with gem grade turquoise and had only the best silversmiths set those stones. This three turquoise cabochon bracelet is an example of the outstanding work done during that era.
Three high grade oval cabochons were precisely set in sawtooth bezels. The turquoise has a deep blue green color and a unique brown matrix. The stones were then placed on a three part ingot silver foundation consisting of twisted wire and triangular bands. The triangular bands are hand stamped with crescent motifs. Silver drops are interspersed between the gemstones. As was common practice at the time, the bracelet is unsigned. The details on the hidden underside of the bracelet are as impressive as that on the top side, an indication of the pride of the silversmith in his work.
Condition: The Navajo Three Stone Bracelet with Three Part Foundation is in excellent condition. There is wear consistent with use.
