Winters are not harsh in New Mexico. When it snows, adobe villages take on a character unlike any other. Snowplows are not needed to clear the walks and streets at Isleta. If one is patient, and pueblo people are, the Sun will come out tomorrow and the snow will melt and work its way into the ground and replenish the aquifer. In the meantime, the beauty of the snow outlining the tops of adobe walls and the tops of adobe homes is a sight to enjoy and remember.  Jojola has done a marvelous job of capturing the essence of an "after-snow storm" moment with children making a snowman while a pueblo dog investigates the possibilities.
