An elongated oval turquoise cabochon is the focal point of this mid-century Navajo silver ring.

The Diné artist set an elegantly shaped stone into a smooth sided bezel framed by a series of small silver drops. This is placed on a three prong split shank that was stamped with an arrow. The work and wear of this ring place it in the 1950s to 1960s, but the ring has been expertly polished to give it the appearance of being brand new. It is stamped “sterling,” but there is no hallmark.

Condition: The Small Navajo Silver Ring With Turquoise Oval Cabochon is in very good condition. The stone has a small matrix indention.

Provenance: The ring is from an extensive Southwest Indian Jewelry collection in Colorado
