Zuni Pueblo craftspeople have been cutting and shaping small pieces of stone since the prehistoric era. When they were introduced to silver in the mid-19th century, they used their traditional skills of working with stone and incorporated it with delicate silver settings.
This pair of silver flower-shaped earrings is an excellent example of the Zuni’s talent of working in silver and stone. In these earrings, a small silver squash blossom hangs from a well-crated channel inlaid flower. The earrings are screw-back design.
Condition: The earrings are in excellent condition.
Provenance: these Zuni Flower Earrings with Squash Blossoms are from a Santa Fe collector
