This exceedingly small Zuni Pueblo silver ring features twelve circular cabochons of beautiful turquoise, ranging in color from light green to sky blue. The stones are arranged in a rectangular shape in rows of four with two small bands of twisted wire separating them. This style is often referred to as a snake eye.
To highlight this ring even more, there are tiny silver drops along the edge of the crown. The rectangle is set on a three-prong shank. The ring dates from the second half of the 20th Century. It is unsigned.
Condition: this Zuni Pueblo Sterling Silver and Turquoise Snake Eyes Ring is in good condition. There is a dark patina which comes only with age and wear.
Provenance: from an extensive Southwest Indian Jewelry collection in Colorado
