Thelma Talachy, whose ancestral home is Pojoaque Pueblo, was born in 1942 and raised at Santa Clara Pueblo. Thelma is sister to Minnie Vigil, Lois Gutierrez de la Cruz, and Goldenrod Garcia—a family of outstanding potters. Her husband, Joe Talachy, born in 1943, is from Santa Clara Pueblo but moved to Pojoaque after his marriage to Thelma. They now make their home at Pojoaque Pueblo.
