Artist Signature - Juana Garcia, Acoma Pueblo PotterSky City pottery artist Juana Garcia was reported as having started making pottery in the 1940s at Acoma Pueblo. She lived from c.1890 to 1988, for almost one hundred years.

Juana Garcia was the daughter of Antonio and Lupita Garcia and the grandmother of Anita Lowden and Stella Shutiva, two potters of exceptional talent.

In checking our records, we find that we have no record of ever having many examples of her works. One of the joys in this line of work is being exposed to such works of art daily.
