Artist Signature of Fawn Navasie Garcia, Hopi PotterHopi Pueblo pottery artist Fawn Navasie Garcia was formerly known as “Little Fawn”.  Little Fawn assumed the title of Fawn following her mother’s death.  Fawn’s early work is white ware that she did mostly with her mother, Eunice Navasie (the original Fawn).  Her later work is buff or yellow ware that she does with her husband, James Garcia Nampeyo.

Fawn Navasie Garcia (1959- ) Little Fawn or Fawn claims the white ware is more difficult to make, especially the polishing.  Fawn is known for her beautiful polychrome jars that are somewhat egg-shaped with a graceful neck.
