This is a vintage 1970s sterling silver cross featuring a bezel-set, naturally shaped turquoise cabochon. The design is finished with traditional notched detailing and a sunburst bezel center. A vintage patina completes the look. Provided with the original 24-inch silvertone chain.
This piece is cast: molten silver is poured into a mold, and when released, the reverse retains the mold's natural impressions — resulting in a flatter back with subtle, visible mold divots and granular texture rather than a perfectly polished surface. Those small marks are characteristic of true casting and serve as an authentic, tactile record of the handmade process, underscoring the piece's artisan construction.
Condition: veery good condition
Provenance: this Cast Sterling Silver Cross with Turquoise is from the collection of a client from North Carolina
