Double Bar Silver Bracelet with Five Beautiful Turquoise Gemstones

This exceptionally well made turquoise and silver bracelet was made by an unknown Diné of the Navajo Nation jeweler. It features five oval shaped pieces of turquoise, which lay side by side in a single band around the bracelet. The turquoise is of a rich color with minimal copper matrix. The turquoise increase slightly in size near the middle of the band.

Almost as profound as the turquoise is the detailing on the silver part of the bracelet. Symmetrical etchings are seen on each outer side, and there is a solid silver platform through the outer silver strips.

Practically synonymous with the State of New Mexico and celebrated by nearly all who live in and visit the state, to indigenous people, turquoise is considered a sacred gemstone. Long ago, Native Americans mastered the art of making jewelry containing the gemstone, and the tradition has been carried on for generations. To many, it is associated with communication with the spiritual realms, good fortune, and healing. Certainly, it is extremely pleasant to admire.

The bracelet is unsigned and does not contain a hallmark.
