There is a certain affinity for hummingbirds that everyone seems to possess. Perhaps it’s their diminutive size and their determined personality but we all stop and watch them when they are around. This squared-eye hummingbird may not evoke the same sentimental feeling as looking at a real life one, but it is captivating in its own manner. The body paint identifies it as a pueblo hummingbird. The butterfly resting on the stalk of the wheat stem seems unaffected by the closeness of the hummingbird. There is an overall delicacy to the painting, with the subject matter and the color palette being of a restful nature.
Condition: appears to be in original condition
