Santa Clara Pueblo 8-piece SET Nacimiento by Jason Garcia

This vibrant and finely detailed 8-piece Nacimiento (Nativity) set by Santa Clara Pueblo artist Jason Garcia is a wonderful expression of cultural storytelling and artistic innovation. Each figure is hand-formed in clay and painted with vivid acrylics, showcasing Garcia's distinctive style and attention to detail.

The Holy Family is at the heart of the set, with Mary and Joseph flanking a smiling baby Jesus who rests on a cradle made of small branches. Three wise men offer unique gifts rich in cultural reference: a concho belt, moccasins paired with a fox pelt, and a drum with a folded blanket. Completing the scene is a humble donkey, adding charm to the set.

Standing up to 5-¾ inches tall, each figure is animated with character, gesture, and personality. The use of multi-colored acrylics brings the traditional nativity to life with a Puebloan sensibility.

Jason Garcia (b. 1973), known as Okuu Pin (Turtle Mountain), is a celebrated artist from Santa Clara Pueblo. The son of renowned potter Gloria "Goldenrod" Garcia and part of a respected family of artists, Garcia has earned acclaim for his innovative tile work and storytelling style. He has received numerous awards, including Best of Paintings at the 2016 Santa Fe Indian Market.

Condition: excellent condition with one repair to the arm of one of the wise men
