Considered to be one of the finest contemporary painters today, artist Tony Abeyta, Navajo painter and jewelry designer, has been honored as a living treasure as part of the 2012 Native Treasures Indian Arts Festival-artists specially invited by the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.

At the time that this Season’s Greetings card was made, Tony Abeyta, Patricia and their son, Gabriel,  lived at Taos Pueblo. Patricia Michaels is a native of Taos Pueblo. The image on this 1993 holiday card is that of a Pueblo Corn Maiden.  It is signed and dated within the relief print image. On the interior is another relief print image “Season’s Greetings.”  The card is signed in pencil The Abeyta family Tony, Patricia & Gabriel.  Tony said that no more than 40 of these were made and mailed.  

Condition: excellent original condition
