Navajo silversmiths have always been adaptable. Almost as soon as they learned the art of silversmithing, they were using silver to make spoons, boxes, letter openers and an assortment of other items. The tradition of making silverware dates to the late 19th century. For over one hundred years Navajo smiths have been creating dinnerware, with designs changing with the desires of the consumer.
This 2-piece silver salad set features designs in an overlay style. Expertly crafted, the spoon and fork have a contemporary shape. The step designs are executed with precision. It is a set to be seen and a set to use.
