This Quaint Furniture (Stickley Brothers) quarter sawn oak sideboard is published in the 1912 Quaint Furniture Catalog #38 of the Stickley Brothers Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is listed as #8218 Sideboard and is shown on page 60. Everything is the same except this one has long copper hinges on the two doors and the one pictured in the catalog does not show the hinges. Perhaps they were a later addition.

There is the company's brass tag attached to the back of the furniture. It is their signature Art Nouveau "Quaint" logo. A framed mirror is attached to the back edge of the sideboard.

Albert and John Stickley were two of five brothers, all of whom made furniture, and were the founders of Stickley Brothers Quaint Furniture in 1891 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They introduced the Mission line around 1900.

Condition: good antique condition with light distressing commensurate with age. The laminated backing has splits and bulking.

Provenance: this Stickley Brothers Quaint Furniture Mission Oak Sideboard is from the collection of a Santa Fe resident
