This pair of Zuni Pueblo pierced earrings is an illustration of just why Zuni artists are known worldwide for their skillful lapidary work and delicate silver settings. Within just 1-½ inches, the artist used tiny pieces of turquoise set in sawtooth bezels, handmade wire chains, miniscule silver drops and elegant sterling dangles to create an exquisite set of earrings.

The upper part of the earrings resembles the top of a flower, with turquoise petals and silver balls. From this hangs a band of turquoise needlepoint. From the band dangle four sterling silver flattened wires. All of these elements have been combined with remarkable skill and craftsmanship. The earrings are unsigned and date from the mid 20th Century.

Condition: The Zuni Needlepoint Dangle Earrings are in excellent condition.

Provenance: From a long time Southwest Indian Jewelry collector in Colorado.
