This pair of Zuni Pueblo silver and turquoise earrings is extraordinary. The round portion is covered with miniature snake eye turquoise cabs. Attached to the round piece, is a semi-circle silver platform, also filled with miniature snake eye turquoise cabs. Attached to this silver platform are wire circles which host flat silver pendants. The earrings are fitted for pierced ears.
The maker's name H. Quetawki is etched on the back of one earring. The artist is listed in Bille Hougart's book The Little Book of Marks on Southwestern Silver without any further information other than it is an artist from Zuni Pueblo.
