This petite dish, a gem of San Ildefonso black pottery, captures a delightful tableau of a Roadrunner in its natural habitat. The bird, known for its speed and agility, is depicted mid-stride, darting amongst a diverse collection of cacti. A towering saguaro stands sentinel, its iconic silhouette instantly recognizable, while a cluster of barrel cacti adds to the desert landscape's authenticity.
