Artisans from Zuni Pueblo have been known for millennia for their amazing lapidary skills. After the introduction of silver to their jewelry-making process, Zuni artisans developed new and innovative methods of setting precisely cut stones into silver—petit point and needlepoint, mosaic inlay and channel inlay.

These perfectly crafted channel inlay earrings are an excellent example of the precise work by Zuni artists in the mid 20th Century. Small pieces of turquoise were cut and set into silver channels and set in between small silver drops. The earrings are what is sometimes called “Dishta” style, as the famous Zuni silversmith Frank Dishta was known for this design.

Condition: The Small Zuni Dishta Style Flower Post Earrings are in excellent condition.
