Bill Worrell is a painter and sculptor whose work is shown in galleries world wide. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and spent eighteen years teaching sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and drawing. A native Texan, inspiration for his work is the rock art of the Lower Pecos River in Texas and the Middle Rio Grande in New Mexico. Worrell incorporates these ancient symbols into his work using his own interpretations of the messages from the ancestors.

This sterling silver pendant of “The Symbol” is a miniature version of a larger sculpture he made using the spiral and cross. Both the spiral and the cross are pictographic symbols that have influenced Worrell’s work.  A writer, as well as a visual artist, Worrell often engraves words on his pieces as tokens of his inspiration. This amazing miniature sculpture includes the words, “peace, light, no fear and giving” along with his name and the date 3/9/96.
