“Rain Spirits” 1984 by Michael Kabotie [SOLD]

This 1984 lithograph by renowned Hopi artist Michael Kabotie (1942-2009) Lomawywesa ("Walking in Harmony"), signed and numbered 88/100 in the lower left corner, captures the profound cultural and spiritual essence of Hopi tradition. At the heart of the composition are two long-hair katsinas, Angak'china, revered rain-bringing spirits integral to Hopi cosmology. These figures are depicted with meticulous care, symbolizing their role in ensuring the fertility of crops and the well-being of the community.
