PAINTINGS by former SANTA FE INDIAN SCHOOL STUDENTS

April 25, 2014 until June 07, 2014

For spring, Adobe Gallery is featuring an exciting and important collection of paintings by former Santa Fe Indian School students.   The entire gallery wall space will be dedicated in honor of this very Special Exhibit.

The Santa Fe Indian School was the very first in the United States to have an Art Department.  Most of the young Native students studied under Dorothy Dunn and Geronima Montoya beginning in the 1930s.  The results of their skill at depicting Pueblo ceremonial life are worth seeing first hand.

Please join us on Friday, June 6th for a closing reception 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
